I'll cut to the chase. This is one great fan. Looking at it I was skeptical. It doesn't oscillate & it just isn't that big. How could it work for my entire living room. Well, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. I don't completely understand the technology behind it but you can feel the movement of air throughout the room & even into the dining room. On top of that it's a lot quieter than my old whole room fan & since there are no huge blades twirling around it's a lot safer around children. we are an in home preschool/daycare & I feel this is safe enough for us to use.
