I bought this fan for a month now. This fan works really well to cool down my notebook computer and external hard drive (I use speed 1, never use speed 2). About the noise, I put it right next to my laptop, so I know it is running but it does not bother me at ALL. I also like the design of the fan. The motor is cover with smooth hard pastic unlike those cheap pastic. Overall, I really recommend this fan to everyone. Rating: Noise- 1 out of 10 (low noise) Design- 9 out of 10 (excellent design, not the best) Cooling- 8 of 10 (cool enough on speed 1)
